A excerpt from Jim & Nadine’s Wedding Vows:

The Benediction Of The Apache

Now you will feel no rain,

For each of you will be shelter to the other.

Now you will feel no cold,

For each of you will be warmth for the other.

Now there is no more loneliness for you

But there is one life before you.

Go now to enter the days of your togetherness.

May your days be good, long and fruitful upon this earth.

Hi Mom,
I imagine you’re in line to see Elvis with some of your favorite people people up there. Jim hopes the line is long and up hill. I know you are now free from pain and suffering. I wish we had more time together, I miss you so very much. I hear your voice comforting me, I will be okay, we will carry you with us in our hearts always.
Thank you for being my precious mom, protecting me and loving me. You gave me a great life that I cherish each day. I will never forget how supportive you are with me, always encouraging me to go for it. I will always appreciate your beauty, smile, humor and free bird way of living.
Your sweet spirit will live on in me and your grandchildren always.
I Love you deeply in my veins and honor you with my hula dancing. I know your watching. May God, Peace, Mercy and Grace continue to be with us.

Love always and forever more.
Sumer Joy

When Summer called to let me know the sad news, I immediately started remembering all the good times. Times going back to when I was a young kid. You were an amazing woman, and will be truly missed. May your health be clear & strong….much love ❤️

Oh , the good times we had. From high school days to the Kirkland days and the cabin!!
You sure knew how to have a good time!
So many memorable times as Sumer , Shauna and Sharman grew up together.
Juanita beach, Spuds and just hanging out.
Your smile and laugh will never be forgotten.
You always had an idea about life!
What you didn’t think of , I did.😊
You certainly will be missed.

Nadine loved to laugh. She adopted our mom as her own and this blessed our mom greatly. Now they are together. I enjoyed visiting with her. She tried always to be positive though she suffered many physical challenges. What an inspiration.

Sumer, condolences to you on Nadine’s passing. Will always have wonderful memories of all of us during the “Cabin Years.” Nadine was always so happy and cheerful. The world will be a much more somber place without her here.

Ohhhhh Nadine , did we have some fun together. My favorite was always “ don’t tell Jimmy “ Lol. Nothing but a beautiful girl on the inside and out. You’d give the shirt off your back to make someone smile. Speaking of smiles, you had the BEST. When you walked into a room you glowed and everyone watched you and wanted to be your friend, and to have you as a friend? We were so lucky. I love you sweet sister, may you RIP and watch over us.I know I will see you again. ❤️

To my Mother-In-Law, Nadine,

With deep gratitude, with deep honor, I thank you for bringing Sumer Joy into this World, so I could engage her in marriage, and contribute that ‘little bit’ that led to your two extraordinary grandchildren, Avalon and Jasmine. 🤭

You can rest assured that your intent in naming your daughter, Sumer Joy, has in fact, played out as you intended: she has provided not only our family, but countless other souls with indelible beams of Joy, bathed in the Light. 💃👸🧜‍♀️

This gift is also apparent in the personalities of our children. Both are sensitive, kind, and deeply considerate of others. Jasmine shares your and Sumer’s natural talent for color, form, and fashion. Avalon shares the deeper introspective side of you which lived in the shadow of your radiant smile. 😇

It has been quite an adventure to see your life and relationships unfold, and to witness the grace with which you transitioned. I truly respect and honor the hurdles you crossed in a single lifespan, and the healings you brought to your authentic lineage.

While the drama of a lifetime often involves both tragedy and comedy, 🎭 you had the magic to transform drama into beauty … in your smile, your handwritten notes, your wit-full humor, and your engaging generosity.

In the face of pain and suffering, you laughed and made us laugh. You demonstrated poise and were an ambassador of beauty and celebration to us.

I clearly recall your admiration of Jim’s architectural masterpieces, and how obviously he was mirroring your deep recognition and appreciation of natural form and beauty. ⛲️

This mirroring and bringing forth beauty’s appreciation in others, I witnessed many times. Like the time at a family outing to a local restaurant, a dining guest commented on the beauty of your earrings; and, without any hesitation you took them off, let them admire them upclose, then gifted them to the admirer.

Yes, Nadine, you are the penultimate Muse of artistic expression and appreciation of beauty. 🙌

And in my times both Light and Dark, especially Dark, this inspires in me great solace, Faith, and Charity.

Go now, Nadine, and rest peacefully for a life well-lived 🕊. And I will watch for you in the golden rising sun 🌅, in dragonflies 🧚‍♀️, and in fields of tulips 🌼🌼🌻🌹🌹🌷🌷🌷🌸🌷🌷🌷🌹🌹🌻🌼🌼

Hi grandma,
I miss you. You always welcomed me into your home with loving arms. I love you so much and I could always feel your love even from miles away. Your smile and hugs always gave me comfort. I will cherish the memories I have sitting on your lap looking at your pretty jewelry, or going to get tacos together.
I love you grandma forever and always. <3

Dear Nadine,

There’s was never a time that you came out to the house to come visit that you didn’t have a huge smile on your face and something halarious to talk about.
I’m sure you’re up there with Mom and Connie and Colleen sipping on white Russians and wine🍷 and reminiscing. Big hugs to all of you. Thank you for all the wonderful memories with you and the girls! Your kind spirit will live on forever. You will be missed very much by your family and friends. Godbless you! ❤

Sincerely,
