Obituary
Nancy Kathryn Ramsey, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at 86 years of age. She passed away peacefully of natural causes surrounded by loved ones at Valley Medical Center in Renton, Washington. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Nancy was a faithful woman who loved the Lord, her family and church. She was born September 11, 1936 in Ravenna, Nebraska to William and Evelyn Ivers. Nancy was the youngest of three children and was predeceased by her two brothers, William and Richard Ivers. She chose her life career in early childhood education and taught kindergarten and preschool. Nancy and her husband, Jearld married in 1957. They then moved to Washington State when Jearld was drafted into the US Army and was stationed at Fort Lewis. There, they began their life together in the Pacific Northwest.
Nancy and Jearld had three children: Michael, Craig and Jennifer. She had so much love, laughter and a witty sense of humor and will be truly missed by all who knew her.
Nancy leaves behind her husband, Jearld Ramsey, her children: Michael (Michelle), Craig (Lynda), Jennifer (Mike) Stewart, her eight grandchildren: Beau (Maile), Dylan (Leah), Colton, Sawyer, and Anton Ramsey, Alysha (Brandon) Gilbertsen, Caitlin Ramsey, and Tianna Stewart in addition to her four great grandchildren, Logan and Bennett Ramsey, and Camden and Emeri Gilbertsen.
Please join us for Nancy’s Memorial Service: Saturday March 18, 2023, at 11:30 am at The Lutheran Church of the Atonement, 740 S 128th St, Seattle, WA 98168. All are welcome to attend the Graveside Service: Tuesday March 21, 2023 at 1:15 pm Tahoma National Cemetery 18600 SE 240th St, Kent WA, 98042. Please arrive between 12:45-1:00pm.
