hello dad!
my heart breaks as i read this for the first time. i will always cherish our time together. when i was really young i recall sleeping on the couch and as i was just about to roll off the cushion you lunged and caught me before i hit the ground! you were always there for me. i’ve learned so much from you. your kindness, compassion, willingness to help others is something that i admire most about you. you would tailor all of my clothes and when my friends found out about this they would ask for help! you have rescued so many of us with your locksmith talents. lost keys, running cars, broken locks, you name it, you’d come to the scene and help us out. car issues. you’d either repair the car or know someone that could. cooking. i loved so many of your specials ~ split pea soup, turkey jook, mashed potatoes, prime rib, to name a few. i was so happy that you could witness both our daughters, elise and kelly, get married in kauai. we are especially happy that you got to meet your first great grandchild, emilia, born 3 days after your birthday! and now, her brother, Luke, born just a week after your birthday oct, 14, 2020. dad, as we lay you to rest tomorrow, i know that you lived a long happy life and take comfort that you are dancing with mom forever in our hearts.
i love you and may you rest in peace.

much love,
your daughter, della, aka hogadoy

Debbie, Rocky, Dale, Daryl, Della, and Daniel: I am so sorry for your loss. A few years ago, a HS classmate, Joe Salle from Salle Market, shared a story about your dad — something about foiling a robbery at the market? May he rest in peace with your mom.

My mom, Lucy Salle has many memories of Nelson. He helped them out a lot at the grocery store. She remembers having a lovely time at their 50th anniversary party . She is grateful for his assistance. He even went with her to negotiate when she bought her last car! Condolences to your family.
