In Loving Memory of Giuse Nghi Ngọc Hoang
July 4, 1994 – August 28, 2024

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Giuse Nghi Ngoc Hoang, a devoted son, loving husband, caring father and brother, who departed this world on August 28, 2024, at the age of 30.

Born on July 4, 1994, in Tân Hiệp, Kiên Giang, Vietnam, Nghi was the cherished youngest child of Bach Hoang and Hue-Phuong Nguyen. In 2010, Nghi and his family moved to Kent, Washington, where he completed his education and embarked on a promising career. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington in 2022 and was appointed as an Electrical Design Engineer for Boeing’s 737 aircraft group.

In 2022, Nghi married the love of his life, My Hoang. The same year marked the beginning of their family with the joyous news of their son, Lincoln Hoang, who was born in April 2023. Nghi’s life, though brief, was filled with love, dedication, and unwavering faith.

Tragically, in September 2023, Nghi was diagnosed with terminal liver cancer. Despite the devastating news, he faced his illness with remarkable courage, strength, and a deep faith in God. Nghi’s resilience, humor, and positive outlook inspired all who knew him, even as he battled the harsh realities of his condition.

Nghi’s greatest joys were his family and friends, and he was a source of light and laughter to everyone around him. He was a devoted son, a loving and supportive husband, and a proud father to his young son, Lincoln. His thoughtful and caring nature extended to all aspects of his life, as he took care to leave lasting, joyful memories with those he loved.

On August 28, 2024, after receiving the Sacrament of the Sick, Nghi peacefully passed away, surrounded by his loving family. He leaves behind his wife, My Hoang; his infant son, Lincoln Hoang; his parents, Bach Hoang and Hue-Phuong Nguyen; and his siblings, as well as countless friends and extended family members who will forever cherish his memory.

Nghi’s life was a testament to faith, love, and strength. Though his time on Earth was short, the impact he made on the lives of those around him will endure forever. His family takes comfort in knowing that he is now in God’s loving embrace, free from pain and at peace.

A funeral mass in his honor will include the playing of the song “Life Changes,” a piece that Nghi requested, reminding us that while he may be gone, his spirit will live on in our hearts, until we meet again in Heaven.

To honor Nghi’s memory, we invite you to join us for a Celebration of Life, immediately following the burial ceremony:
