Lorraine M Peterson
Passed away November 9, 2008, in SeaTac, WA. Born in St. John, WA, March 12, 1917 to Elizabeth and Clarence Morgan. In 1934, after graduating from St. John High School, she moved to Grand Coulee, WA. There she met and married Wally Peterson in 1936. They moved to Bremerton, WA in the early 1940’s and in 1946, finally settled in Seattle now Tukwila. They enjoyed boating throughout the Northwest and Canada. In 1975, after twenty years of employment, she retired from Sears Roebuck in Seattle, WA to care for her critically ill husband..
After Wally’s death in 1977, she spent her time gardening during the spring and summer and RV traveling in the southwest with her sister-in-law in the fall and winter. In her later years she enjoyed painting, sewing and working with ceramics.
She is preceded in death by two brothers, Lavern and Kermit, two sisters, Gloria Morgan and Verdell White, and a great granddaughter, Desiree McAllister.
She is survived by a daughter, Sandi Phil Bigley of Seatac, WA, daughter in law Joan Herb Willis of Atwater, CA, four granddaughters; Tiffanie Durst of Seatac, WA, Kerry Ralph Hardy of Atwater, CA, Sheryl McAllister of Lexington, KY and Laura Peterson of Merced, CA; three great grandchildren, a great-great grandson and three generations of nieces and nephews.
Lorraine’s family gratefully thanks Sipes Adult Home Care for their loving care these last few years. And to her Group Health Hospice team for their medical, emotional and spiritual support in her final days.
She was placed next to her husband at BONNEY-WATSON Washington Memorial Park, in SeaTac, WA.

I remember when my grandmother came to visit us in her RV. She was so nice. I was touched by her obituary and wish I could have known her better.
