Opal Marie Frazier Kay
1917 – 2006
Opal M. Kay of Tukwila died in Arkansas on November 16, 2006 at the age of 89. Her daughter, Betty Lou Baxter, and family, was at her bedside.
Opal married Loren Parnell Skip Kay in 1934, a union that lasted 51 years. They began their family life in St. Cloud, Minnesota, moving to the Seattle area in 1943. Opal was the ultimate homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, camping, traveling, and especially her family! She was a wonderful mother, mother-in-law, and friend. She will be missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Loren 1985, and two of her sons, Keith Kay 1996, and Michael Kay 1996. In addition to her daughter Betty Baxter Gary, survivors include her sons Dr. Kenneth Kay Bev; Jerry Kay Marilyn; James Kay Sharron; Martin Kay Cheryl; daughters-in-law Linda Kay and Janie Kay, as well as Opal’s adored 16 grandchildren and her 25 great-grandchildren!
A private family interment will be held at the Bonney-Watson Washington Memorial, SeaTac, Washington, November 28, 2006.
