Obituary

Patricia Daley Yearwood, daughter of Laura Scarlett Daley and John Leo Daley, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home, Friday, April 23, 2004. She was 77 years old. Patricia was born on January 6, 1927 in New Market, Jefferson County, Tennessee where she spent her early life. Later she moved to Knoxville, Tennessee and worked in the war effort at the Oak Ridge Nuclear facility for 18 months. After her time at Oak Ridge, Patricia attended Nursing School at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville where she earned her Diploma in Nursing. After receiving her nursing degree she met and married Robert Cruze Yearwood in 1950. As an RN, Patricia helped ease the suffering of others. Early in her career she cared for many polio victims and felt that was a specialty of hers. Patricia and her family moved to Washington State in 1956. She worked in various nursing capacities until she found her niche in ER nursing. She retired from Highline Hospital in 1979 after 17 years in the ER. Patricia treasured spending time with her family and for favorite pastime was reading and collecting books. Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved sisters Ann Stokes and Jo Harrell. Surviving Patricia is her cherished family: Husband, Robert Cruze Yearwood, Sr.; sister, Lorraine Jacobs George of Knoxville, TN; son Robert Cruze Yearwood, Jr. Kathy; daughters, Laura M. Warren Paul, Margaret A. Hutchinson Dr. James B., Patricia I. Yearwood Bob Boes; 11 grandchildren, Alexander, Joseph, Amanda, Anne, Jessica, Sarah, Matthew, Kathryn, Nathan, Leah and Audrey; 3 great grandchildren, Gage, Ousha and Maci; 2 nieces, Linda and Pam; 2 nephews, Stacey and Mike; 3 great-nieces, Lisa son Jake, Karen and Vanessa; and 2 great nephews, Andrew and Shane. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 1, 2004 at 12:30PM at BONNEY-WATSON Washington Memorial, 16445 International Blvd., SeaTac, WA 206 242-1787 Interment will immediately follow at Washington Memorial.
