Aunt Pat

I am at a loss for words as there are so many great memories as far back as I can remember. All the time we spent at your house, the beach, the canal, Chucks property and of course all those crazy camping trips Mom and you took ALL of us kids on. I will miss you each day but we are happy that you are with Uncle Bob and Tracie. I Love You

Kim & Stacie

I know this is so hard and seems almost unreal for all of you, as the last year has been.

We can always remember all the great memories and can only hope we make the same great moments for our kids that our Moms & Dads have done for us. We Love You All and my heart aches for you.

Dear Lenhart Family,

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. “Aunt Pat” as I used to know her was a beautiful person, loving wife and an adoring mother to her daughters. She was always so nice to me. She was so funny and fun to be near! She will be missed on earth and welcomed into heaven. Much love to the Lenhart and Claudon family.

Dear Kim and Stacie, The world will not be the same without your Mother in it. It won’t be quite as lively, big hearted, funny, or colorful in her absence. Pat’s wonderful sense of humor, her zest for life and love of family is very memorable to me. She will be missed by all of us.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Love, Sherry, Will and Lauren

Dear Kim & Stacie,

You both know I am at a loss for words as I have been for a few weeks it’s just so sad and I know nothing I say will take that away. I am just so sorry. Your family has been so important to us when we were all growing up we shared so much fun together. It doesn’t seem real that so much has happened in the last year and half; the only comfort that I get from this is that your Mom & Dad are together with Tracie, and all their other family and friends, and no one is hurting!

I was thinking about one summer night at the canal when Jack and Kaitlyn were little they were laying in the chaise lounges and we were talking about the stars. I could see that they were very interested so I kept on, I said that they could be people looking down on us and when they twinkle a bit that they may be showing us that they are really up there somewhere and they are just saying hello. The different clusters may be families and so on. They were only about 2 or 3 years old so I may not have the words just so, but last night I was standing outside and I remembered that story and it actually made me feel better for a few minutes thinking that all our people are up there looking down on us and occasionally saying hello. I will miss you Aunt Pat, and we will think of you often and hold you in our hearts forever.

Dear Lenhart Family

I was so sad to read in the Times about your Mom.

I graduated with Pat from Holy Names, and even though I havent seen her in all these years, I still remember how much fun she was and such a great sense of humor. My thoughts are prayers are with all of you.

Kim and Stacie,

I join you in celebrating your mother’s reunion with your dad.

She was a fabulous person. I still remember the first time I saw her, which must have been at a Thanksgiving celebration at the old club house on Beacon Hill. I thought she was so beautiful, and that your dad was so lucky to have found her. I have never changed my mind. She was a beautiful person through and through. But as I found out as I got older, she wasn’t just beautiful, she was funny and kind and interesting and generous and fun and so was your dad, so we were all lucky that he found her. With such a fantastic role model, I’m sure that your children will benefit from her influence throughout their lives even though they have been deprived of her physical presence.

My heart goes out to you and I wish you strength and comfort in knowing that she touched so many and made our lives so much better for having known her.

I will see you on Thursday.

Chris is in Boise and will not be able to attend. Cory and Holly are expecting labor to begin any minute, so they will not be able to be there either, but they all send their love.

Love,

Diane

To Kim, Herb, Stacie, Bobby;

I’ve had the great opportunity to know your family for nine years. When I first met all of you on Thanksgiving, I was nervous but all of you made me feel so welcome. By the end of the night I felt like I was part of the family. That’s how your parents made me feel. As years went by I only became more attached to my newfound family, I felt more embraced. The loss of any of them would be profound to my heart. I will miss you Aunt Pat I love you.

My sister & I first met Patsy when she was 9 years old and we were the ‘big girls’ of 10 & 11.

Patsy & her Mom, ‘Big Pat’ lived down the hall from us in the Leonard Apts on Queen Anne hill. My Mom, Elizabeth and Pat were the best of friends – 2 single Moms doing their best to raise their daughters. As kids we did everything together, wandered the Hill, went to the movies, played at Kinnear Park and since Pat & Patsy had a TV, in 1952! we all gathered to watch Eddie Fisher and our Big Fave – Liberace! Oh and Lucy & Desi too! Patsy was a bridesmaid in my wedding and I so remember the day she & Bob were married at Sacred Heart. The baby shower we had for you Kim – too bad Patsy couldn’t be there – she was in the hospital having you! All these years she & your Dad have been part of my life & my history – I will miss her so much. She was a kind, beautiful and funny lady – our Mom’s did a good job of raising us ‘girls’

My second sister is gone to be with Mike’s best friend. It is still so hard to think we will never see them here again. Our meeting was true Karma and I can’t believe how incredibly grateful I am for having been a part of Pat and Bob’s life. The vacations in Mexico, the playing cards at the beach, all of the time spent eating everywhere Pat had a kitchen! The Lenhart family was truly an adopted family of all of my adult years. I will so miss the talks we had. I will so much miss Pat calling me ‘Susie’. We will never get over loosing both of them, but, My God how lucky I was to find them! You girls and your husbands and your wonderful children were truly blessed.

My heart goes out to Kim & Stacie for their loss. Losing the second parent is always hardest most espcially with Bob and Pat being so close together. I hope they cherish all the great times they had as a family and how lucky they were to have had such vibrant and full-of-life parents. I will always remember the times I’d run into them on Alki Beach taking an evening walk, always busy doing something. I was fortunate to know them both and consider myself very lucky to have a best friend like Kim. Much love to the whole family.

Our family has grown far beyond the walls of that Thanksgiving Hall on Beacon Hill. I remember thinking that drive from Lake Oswego to Thanksgiving was such an adventure. “BobmPat”… It was one word as I learned it. Bob and Pat were my Godparents, and if anything happened to my parents, Bob and Pat would raise me. And sometimes I thought Pat wouldn’t mind raising me, considering how excited she was to see me every 6 months. The 4th of July was the other time for gargantuan family visits. I remember when the lake was a little choppy and they dumped the canoe over, and came back laughing. Pat would always find something to smile about. And I can’t help but smile everytime I think about her. Thanks Bobmpat.

Love Always,

Christopher
