August 19, 1951 – March 6, 2024
Patricia was born in Tokyo, Japan, to James and Kiyoko Pagel. She was raised in Japan alongside her siblings Pearl, Paul, Pamela, and Phyllis.
While in Tokyo, Patricia worked as a model for a fashion company and a popular department store. She later attended Sophia University. When she was 19, she moved to the United States settling briefly in Los Angeles, CA. Kiyoko, Patricia’s mother, passed away during a visit to see Patricia in Los Angeles. Her father later retired and moved to Bellevue, WA.
Patricia moved to Bellevue to help take care of her father a few years later.
After settling in Bellevue, Patricia began working for the Bellevue Police Department as a records clerk where she met James C. Hershey, Jr., whom she later married on February 14, 1982. In 1989, while working for the police department, Patricia opened her own business, Bellevue Fingerprinting Service. Several years later she left the police department to run her business full-time. Patricia retired in 2012.
She also loved meeting people from all parts of the world and spent a lot of time chatting with everyone she came across. You could always find her traveling, playing bingo or in a casino and planning to go on a cruise or fishing.
Patricia was preceded in death by both of her parents. She is survived by her husband James, her children Jacqueline and Jason (and his partner JR Bolter), and her grandson Desmond.
In keeping with her wishes, the family held a private service, and her ashes were scattered in the Meydenbauer Bay area of Lake Washington.
