PAUL SHOLL VEVANG
Paul was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 9, 1942. He spent his early childhood in Galesville, WI, before coming to Seattle in 1952. He has been a resident of Burien for the last 15 years.
He graduated from Franklin High School in 1960 and entered the Marine Corps the same year. He served in the Far East for most of his 4-year enlistment.
After leaving the Marine Corps, he worked as a Longshoreman, did home remodeling and finally retired from the General Services Administration GSA in 1998 after over 20 years.
Paul enjoyed watching mystery movies, cooking, traveling and spending time with his family, especially his Boston Terrier Tricks, who preceded him in death.
Paul is survived by his wife Teri, his mother Bea Vevang of Issaquah, WA; his stepdaughter Anne Shaw of Burien, WA; his stepson Bill Shaw of Denver, CO; his sisters
Bev Wayne Price of Sammamish, WA; Shirley Jules Gillard of Minnetonka, MN and his brother Jim Jeanne Vevang of Renton, WA. He was preceded in death by his father Rev. Sam Vevang and his brother Tim Vevang. He also left behind many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all.
Memorials may be made to the Washington Lung Association. 2625 3rd Ave., Seattle, WA 98121.
I knew Paul for close to 20 years at Federal Center South. He was my GSA guy I’d go to for everything because I knew he would handle it. He was a great guy. I’m gonna miss him.
I miss you Paul! You were a great brother in law! I will always remember you!
Love,
Judy
I first met Paul about 26 years ago when the office I worked for moved from Pier 91 to Federal Center South. We had some special equipment we wanted to install, and Paul went way out of his normal duty path to help us out. The fact that he did this without complaint and with a grin on his face totally impressed me.
Paul had a clever, sneaky sense of humor that grew on people who really knew him. He always had a kind word or a funny bit to give you.
Paul and his wife Terri knew all the good places to eat in and around Burien and would frequently tell us of new ones when we saw them out and about.
These are the fondest of my memories of Paul. We are all better for knowing Paul and will miss him.
Terri

Dear Paul:
More than most, I got to know the real Paul in 10 years of working together. I have many lasting memories of our times together.

Brother in Law
Paul, will miss your smile. Really enjoyed visiting with you and Teri those early mornings in the Cafeteria in the Federal Center South. Enjoyed visiting you and Teri during the holiday season last year for your open house. God Bless
