Obituary

Pauline Blanche Eash

Pauline Blanche Eash, 55, passed away on Wednesday July 1st in Burien, Washington after a brief battle with lung cancer.

Born in Riley, Kansas, she was the daughter of Robert Neville Eash and Sabilla E Herrmann. She is survived by her siblings Perry Eash, Karin Pruett, Resi Eash, Cathy Eash, Marsha Russell and her sons Michael Eugene Eck(32), Shaun Robert Eck(27), and Richard Alan Eck(25).

Pauline was a hard working single mother for most of her adult life. After spending time in the United States Navy where she achieved E5 status, Pauline went on as the operator of a multi-color press set at Day Timer Industries in Pennsylvania, assistant fry line operator at Nestle in Washington, a Production Specialist with Genie in Washington and finishing her time as a Floor Manager with Lowe’s in Des Moines, Washington.

Outside of work, her priority was caring for and raising her three sons. Pauline was a fighter and she graced her family and friends with that fighting spirit. She will be missed and remembered by her relatives and friends alike.

I will always regret missing our coffee date. Our schedules shouldn’t have been so jammed that we could make an hour.

I have many, many amazing memories of my mother. The things she has endured for her sons and her incredibly selfless mindset, which never skipped a beat, when it came to us. She truely was a fighter, through and through. Everyone gets knocked down at times, getting back up was never an option for her, it was a fact.

My pride for this country comes from Pauline. My family values come from Pauline. The relentless fight within me, comes from Pauline.

My mother has always been the absolute standard to which I will always strive to meet.

Sadly, Pauline left us before we really got to know her very well. Richard lovingly speaks of her and all the life skills she imparted to him. Watching her face beam as Richard married into our family was a highlight of the wedding. She and Richard leaned on each other and drew strength from the close bond they shared. She will not be here to welcome future grandchildren into the family, but know that Richard will pass on to them the life lessons Pauline taught him. Love, honor, respect, and self-confidence will continue in your honor.

Its taken me awhile to finally form the words i wanted to say.. Though words can never do justice to how i truly feel..

Pauline was like a second mother to my sister and I. We could always confide in her and look to her for love & support. I met her through her son, Ricky, who was a dear friend to me growing up.We spent countless days and nights at their home in Moses Lake, going on trips with them to the coast, and visiting them once they moved away- though visits didn’t happen nearly enough.

I will forever cherish the memories I have of her and will always hold a spot in my heart for her and her family. Thanks for always being there for us mom with open arms. I will never forget you. Love and miss you so much..
