Obituary
Peggy Jordan
Peggy Jordan passed away at her home on Saturday, February 13th after fighting pancreatic cancer for several months.
Peggy was born in Aberdeen, Washington on March 4, 1951 to William Poston and Marjorie Butterfield. Peggy was an outstanding student and graduated from the University of Washington in 1974 with magna cum laude honors.
She loved plants and animals and was happiest when she was surrounded by nature. She was nurturing and generous, and believed that everyone, whether they realized it or not, had the power to make the world a better place.
She was a loving mother and wife, always putting the needs of her family above herself.
Even after being diagnosed with terminal cancer and suffering through unbearable pain, she was more concerned about the well-being of those around her. As she often said, ‘I am not afraid of dying, I am just afraid of leaving people behind who still need me.’
Peggy is survived by her husband, Clifton, her son Ryan and her sister, Joyce.
Peggy was a dear friend in my senior year. She was such an encourager! Extremely bright and beautiful! I wish I had known you were so sick and could have seen you before you passed!
