Obituary

Perine Theresa Ellis

Perine Theresa Ellis was born on February 16, 1913 in Lebeau, Louisiana. She died April 17, 2009 in Lakewood, Washington at the age of 96. Perine married her childhood friend, Luke Ellis. Eventually, the couple relocated to Seattle where they raised 3 children, Charles Shirley Ellis, Barbara Bird, and Jacqueline Raymond. Perine’s life partner and husband preceded her in death. As the oldest of 11 siblings, Perine enjoyed helping take care of her brothers and sisters. Perine’s kind and gentle spirit made her a natural nurturer. She thrived in her role as a homemaker and loved her children. Although she was quiet she had a big heart and a great sense of humor, and she will be deeply missed. Perine is survived by her 3 children, 3 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Perine’s siblings alive and deceased are Veronica, Rita, John, Joseph, Augusta, Helen, Annette, Lawrence Joyce, Catherine, Shirley, and Betty.

My condolences to the family of Aunt Perine. I honestly don’t remember much about her but I do remember hearing mama Shirley and Aunt Cat talk about her often. She sounded like a wonderful person.

It’s only been two weeks since my dearest mother-in-law left us, each day brings peace and contentment as we know she is celebrating with the angels & loved ones. I know she’s happy knowing that we’re taking great care of her son Chuck and that he is happy and will miss her always. Thank you for sharing him with us. I will love you for eternity.

Your daughter-in-law,

Shirley

Chuck and Shirley I want you to know my heart is with you at this time. Aunt Perine was the coolest Aunt she always listened when I needed to talk back in the day. Chuck I just was looking at Moms guestbook and I must admit I got a little teary eyed. Love you

Chuck & Shirley Ernie I give you my deepest condolences in the recent passing of your mother and mother in-law Ms. Ellis. She was a quit woman always had a smile of some sort on her face. Ms. Ellis is physically gone I do believe her thoughts, prayers and love will remain and live with you and your family through life. it’s a fact there will never be a sugar coating with anyone I knew in life and how they were to others and what most would consider not pleasant things I would say about the passing at death and the person I knew them to be. I will say Ms. Ellis was a nice pleasant , giving and cheerful hearted women, what I knew of Ms. Ellis she gave her all to those she loved needless to say nearing the end there was only two people she knew who really care for her and took care of her till the end “Chuck and Shirley” she was there life and they were her’s .It’s a fact those who really loved Ms. Ellis told her how they felt about her while she was alive because they knew tomorrow isn’t promise to any one. While those who didn’t would have to live with the failure and guilt of not doing so . I’m certain in Ms’ Ellis heart she knew there was some who didn’t care for her even after giving her all but the flip side she knew there was just as many who did. Ms. Ellis struggle’s are over she has travel this road for so long she has now found her way back home she’s @ peace now,. It true we know how the story begin it’s also true we never know when, where, or how now the story will end, Be strong.

Love S. C. and Ernie
