Obituary
Phillip Heasley Entz
So much to do and no time to do it all…
Busy and active as always, Heasley Entz passed away on September 15, 2007, just short of his 90th birthday.
A Boeing Engineer for 44 years, he retired in 1986, but was never idle. He was successful and could fix anything and do anything.
His family will miss his help, advice, guidance and love.
He is survived by his children, David C. Entz and Carol E. Koepke of Seattle, and Philip J. Entz of Phoenix, AZ, together with six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two of his sisters: Gertrude Gray of Kent, WA and Rebecca Neil of Derby, KS.
A celebration of his life will be held September 29 at 11:00AM at Bonney-Watson Parker Chapel, 900 SW 146th St., Burien, WA 98166.
Contributions in his name can be made to “Thru the Bible Radio” at www.thruthebible.org.
My prayers and sympathy go out to the family, especially my buddy, Phil.
My memories of Heasley are from the time he lived with us while attending the University of Oklahoma. He was always interested in airplanes. I also, remember, quite vividly, the evening he told me he was getting married. I always considered him as a big brother. My condolences to his family.
Heasley was 10 years my senior and I looked up to him. I remember when he lived with us,while attending OU, the times my Father would help him launch the gliders he had built. Heasley was a very special person in my life.
I had the privilege of working with Heasley for several years in the mid-1970’s. His wise counsel, patient demeanor, and vast knowledge and experience were invaluable. I considered him a good friend and extend my condolences to his family.
We are saddened by the loss of our friend and neighbor, Heasley Entz. We offer our condolences to his family, in particular David, Carol, and Philip. Heasley was the best of neighbors for 40 years. We always knew he would do anything for us if we asked. He will be missed.
One of the most brilliant men I ever met.
Much of what he did, and discovered will never be talked about.
Such a shame that his life story will almost certainly never be told. There was so much.
RIP “old” glierder pilot in the TG-2. We flow gliders together at Fancher Field in Wenatchee. WA.
Orjan in the old KA-6 BR.
