Obituary
Phyllis Arlene Schafer, age 81, went to sing with Jesus October 27, 2008 in Seattle, WA. Born Phyllis Conover, in Billings, MT in 1927, she lived the first half of her life mostly in Montana. She graduated from Billings High School in 1945. Phyllis is survived by her three daughters, Ruth A. Collins Rick of Elko, NV, Judy A. Runge Larry of Edgewood, WA, and Martha I. Schafer Roger of Raton, NM; grandchildren, Annette, Michelle Paul, Kristofer and Timothy Christine and four great-grandchildren. She was also close to her brother Everett’s children, Vernon, Dale and Coral Conover. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband William Charles Schafer in 1974 and her grandson, George Smith in 1989. A celebration of her life will be held at Glendale Lutheran Church, 13455 2nd Ave. SW, Burien, WA, Sunday, 11/2/08 at 1:00 pm. Interment with her husband in the National Cemetery at Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument will take place next June.

Dear family, Thank you for sharing the information and wonderful pictures of Phyllis. I always remember her in Broadview when she lived there…I didn’t realize she didn’t graduate from Broadview as she was one of the “big girls” we all looked up to as toddlers etc.
