Phyllis Evangeline Welty
Mom passed away peacefully September 19, 2013 in Kent, WA. She was born May 23, 1919 in Detroit Lakes, MN to Eddie and Della Gandrud.
Having grown up in Minnesota she moved to Washington with two girlfriends to work at Boeing during the war where she met Wayne Welty, who she would later marry.
They were married 63 years and had 4 children; Gary Welty, Dennis Welty, Kathy Boyd and Cynthia Snow. Also survived by 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and a sister Ione Roering. Mom’s greatest attribute was her loving and caring nature. She was a big part in the lives of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral service followed by a reception, 1:00 PM, Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Bonney-Watson Washington Memorial, 16445 International Blvd, SeaTac.
