Mom’s Life Tapestry

Moms Life’s Tapestry was started on October 11, 1919 and was completed on April-23-2006 at 1:26 am. The anchor threads that are woven back and forth through it are very strong. And all the threads that make the designs are vibrant in color and intricately interwoven. Mom has had many pictures woven into her beautiful tapestry with all of the joyful memories that run throughout her life. There have also been several difficult hurdles for mom to conquer in her life through multiple illness’s and her child’s death. Our brother leaving this world was so hard on both Mom and Dad: As the old adage states “Parents are prepared for themselves to leave this world first not for their child.” During this time Mom and Dad were so strong for the rest of us.

Dad left us in body eleven years ago, but has been in the midst of us in spirit ever since. He has been waiting ever so patiently for Mom to cross over to be with him and to join their son, our brother Matthew James, Mom’s parents, and her brother Bill, and many family members, and others that have left us in the past.

In recent months, Mom has had good and bad days, but, she remained with us to watch over her older grandchildren to see how they are doing in their active lives and lovingly watches her two youngest grandchildren as they grow up to be strong, happy, and full of life. Each one of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchild, are especially dear to her.

Mom and Dad have five children their names are: Pete, Pat, Mary, Matthew James deceased and Mandy. Mom and Dad also have five grandchildren. Their names are: Shane, Shannon, Sean, Hannah K Beverly, and Matthew Robert, and one great-grandchild, Zac.

Mom has remained the strong matriarch for our family throughout this long illness. We will all miss her dearly, but in our hearts and minds will know that she will remain with us forever in spirit just like “Dear Old Dad”. They will equally be in every sunrise, sunset, rainbow, shooting star, in the misty ring around the moon, and in each and every raindrop. We will remember and cherish all the good times and we too will always remember the smiles, laughter, and the unconditional love that both Mom and Dad gave to each of us. Mom’s Tapestry is an Heirloom that will transcend all time and will be cherished in each and everyone’s hearts. Mom – we will always know that both your spirit, and Dads will be watching over us.

Thank You Both, for everything!

Mandy, Mary, and Manion Family:

Mom and dad sent me an e-mail and told me about your mom’s death. They are in Europe right now; I know they would have liked to have been with you this weekend.

I was saddened to hear of her passing, but I have JOY and anticipation of seeing her again in Heaven one day and I’m so glad that as you said in your e-mail, Mandy, she is with Vern such a wonderful man! and Matthew, your brother.

I have such fond memories of your mom and dad and your house just down the hill from us! We would often hear your folks’ voices and laughter drifting up the hillside.

Your mother had such a beautiful spirit, a softspoken voice, and a kind word for each of us. She was a great lady, a wonderful mom, and I know she had to have been a terrific Grandma as well.

I’ll be thinking of your family this weekend and am sorry I can’t be there to give you a hug in person.

Much love, Karol

Mandy and Family,

Our prayers are with you at this sad time. Your mom must have been a wonderful woman to have raised such a wonderful daughter. I know God will comfort you in your time of grief and ease your pain over time. May the many wonderful memories of your mother help you through this time.

We will be thinking of you.

Love,

Chris and family

Dear Peter, Patty, Mary and Mandy:

Your Mom and I have shared so much over the years. We truly became not only family but close friends. The four of us, Vern, Bev, Pete and I formed a lasting bond that Pete and I will always treasure. Over the last few days all of us here have shared our memories of your Mom. We will always remember her with great love and fondness. We know that you will miss her but our most comforting thought is that now she will be with your Dad to continue their great love together.

We love you all,

Pete and Peach

Your parents were always special to me. When I came over they would embrace me with their love, as you all do. I know your parents and my parents are having a big party with all of our friends who have gone on before us. I always enjoyed the getting together and singing. Love, Megan.

Even though our family couldn’t be there at this time of loss, we wanted to know that a tear was shed and that your family is in our prayers during this time of loss. God bless you all.

What is there to say about a dear friend, except how much we will miss Bev’s smile and contagious laugh. Till we meet again, Bev. Love, The Savidge Family, friends for 65 years!
