Obituary

Ramon M. Tolentino, 92, peacefully passed away on September 9, 2022 surrounded by his family.

Ramon was born on May 23, 1930 to Alfredo & Remedios Martinez in Legazpi, Philippines. Ramon married Gloria Anduiza on July 26, 1954. He and his beloved wife enjoyed a wonderful 68 years together. They had 3 children Efraim, Marilu, & Bonnie. 

In 1972, the family immigrated to the United States where Ramon found his career in the Aerospace Industry as a Mechanical Engineer for the Boeing Company.  Ramon earned many awards in his 30+ years at Boeing and worked on projects for the 747, 757 and 777. He enjoyed displaying the models of the planes that he worked on and was proud to be a part of the manufacturing team. 

Ramon was a man of few words who loved his family and demonstrated his heart for generosity to all his family near and far.  He was content to simply be in the midst of laughter filled family gatherings and was known to surprise his grandchildren with treats when he arrived home from work.  He enjoyed watching movies in the theaters and established a tradition of taking all of the family members to a movie the day after Christmas.  He also loved eating out and would invite the entire family to enjoy meals with him at his favorite restaurants.  He has imparted to his children and grandchildren that the greatest joy is in giving.

Ramon and his wonderful wife Gloria enjoyed many years of traveling together. His favorite travel location was Paris, France where he and Gloria celebrated their 45th Wedding Anniversary.  Ramon shared his love for travel with his children and grandchildren and brought them on family trips which included Hawaii for their 60th & 65th wedding anniversaries.

Ramon is survived by his beloved wife Gloria; son Efraim Tolentino (Cherry Villegas); daughter Marilu Sahagun (Ricardo Sahagun); daughter Bonnie Clifford (Gregory Clifford); grandson Tyler Tolentino; granddaughter Sophia Tolentino (Jake Stanhke); granddaughter Tara Tolentino; grandson Kyle Sahagun; granddaughter Cassie Sahagun; granddaughter Heather Sahagun; granddaughter Kelly Clifford; grandson Derrick Clifford; great-granddaughter Izabella Stanhke-Tolentino; great-granddaughter Aspen Stanhke-Tolentino; and Sandra Tolentino.

There will be a service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 30, 2022 at St. Vincent de Paul Parish in Federal Way, WA.  Ramon will be laid to rest at Gethsemane Cemetery and will forever be in the hearts of his beloved family.
