Obituary

In loving memory of …

Ramona Theresa Urrutia

April 19, 1931 to October 9, 2012

Ramona was born and raised in Adams Minnesota with 10 brothers and sisters.  She was married on February 21, 1957 and was a devoted wife of John Urrutia for over 55 years. Together they raised a family with 10 children in Seattle Washington, including “baby” Ramona who passed away only weeks after birth.

Her focus was on family, starting with helping to raise her brothers and sisters (as she was the oldest) and continuing to raise her children, for whom she provided unconditional love, made countless sacrifices for and served as a Godly example (Proverbs 31:10-31). That focus was second only to her faith in God, her source of strength and song (Exodus 15:2), as He worked wonders in her life.

Thank you Ramona – Sister, Wife, Mother & Friend – for blessing and enriching our lives !

May you bask in the glory of God as you dwell in His House for all eternity !

(2 Timothy 4:7-8)

Happy, patient, loving, gracias and lovely are the kind of words that come to mind when I think of Aunt Mona. She is one of those ladies that you watch and say to yourself, ” I wish I could be more like her”. I know she will live on in all of her children, but she will also live on in others who were touched by her kindness & love.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family! We enjoyed a visit in Seattle with Aunt Ramona and Uncle John in October 2010 and we will treasure those memories of our visit.

We love you, and we’ll miss you Ramona. Our family has so many wonderful memories of our visits with you and your family during our many stops in route from one assignment to another.

We are sure God has a special place for you in heaven, near your Mom, who was also a wonderful, warm, and giving woman, and with your two beautiful children, ‘baby’ Ramona and Kathy.

We will try to keep in good contact with your children, so they know that our family loves them all, and they are always welcome in our home.

Eternal Rest Grant unto Ramona , Lord, and let your Perpetual Light shine upon her. AMEN.

Mom, you were the most beautiful person. Strong, kind, generous, loving, loyal and godly only begin to paint the picture. I think of you and dad often. Thank you for loving on me and doing all you could. You were such a wonderful woman. Love you always
