Obituary

Rayola Hanseen Mitchell, 97, passed away September 21, 2023 in Burien, Washington.

Rayola was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Normandy Park Ward Chapel. She loved music and especially singing hymns. Researching family history was important to her and over the years was a favorite past time. She was an expert seamstress and knitter and enjoyed many other kinds of handiwork. Even at rest, her hands were busy working on a project. Often, she took classes to learn new skills and latest techniques. In her later years, she learned to make reproduction porcelain dolls and the many stages involved from start to finish. She showed her love of the Savior, Jesus Christ by giving service and sharing her many talents with others and found joy in doing so. Rayola’s greatest joy was her family. With her sweetheart, Dale, she created a beautiful home that was a peaceful haven for all who entered. She is beloved by many.
