Obituary
Rena Ellis passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2014. Her strength and independence present until the end.
Born July 26, 1920, in Gravois Mills, Missouri, Rena was the seventh of nine children born to Adolphus and Arminta Collins. She married Quentin Ellis in 1944 and moved to Washington. They settled in Renton and enjoyed seven decades of happiness and success together. Widowed in 2010, Rena continued to live a quiet life in their family home, always proud of her independence and pioneer spirit. Her strength was admired by all who knew her.
She is survived by her sister, Margie McIntyre (Pasadena, CA), along with many nieces and nephews. Rena’s greatest joy was her family. Her love and support will always be treasured and remembered.
Services will be held on Sunday, November 9, 1:30 pm, at Washington Memorial Park, SeaTac.

I am a volunteer driver for “Meals on Wheels” and for the last year and a half, have been delivering meals to Rena. She was always so sweet and pleased to see me arrive at her door–AND she insisted each week on paying the full “suggested donation” for her meals!
What a lovely lady!
My condolences to the entire family. I was blessed to meet Rena on a number of family occasions. She was always kind, friendly and a good sport when pets spontaneously decided to share some love :-). She has been an inspiration to us all for living a long & happy life.
I am so sorry Rena is gone. She was a wonderful neighbor and friend.
Mary
