Obituary

Rey Thadaline Hagan was born on April 7, 1921 in Cogar, OK. She was raised in Sheridan, WY. Rey, along with her twin sister Fey graduated from beauty school in February of 1940. Rey moved to Seattle in 1945, lived in the Frye Manor boarding house where she met her 1st husband Ethan “Pete” Hagan. They were married on November 26, 1946. She worked at Boeing as an engineer from 1945-1951. Pete and Rey were blessed with a son Michael, December 5, 1949. Michael’s children included Larry Dawn, Ethan Kristine, Michelle Ben, Deanne and Nick. Pete passed away February 6, 1997. Rey married Gordon Stringham April 21, 1998. Her family then grew, she gained two daughters, Dona McGowan Bruce and Lynn Gough Brian. She also acquired 3 more grandchildren, Tiffany, Michael and Cheryl. Rey was a great-grandmother to 12 children. She was a member and past Worthy Matron of the Southgate Chapter #190, Order of Eastern Star since 1951. She supported many charities and was very active in her church. Her hobbies were flower arrangement, sewing, dancing, puzzles, games, camping and traveling. She was a loving, kind, giving woman who will be dearly missed. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 21, from 12:00 noon – 8:00 PM. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 12:30 PM all at BONNEY-WATSON Washington Memorial, 16445 International Blvd., SeaTac, WA 206 242-1787.
