When we moved here from the Philippines the Merced’s are one of the first family I met. They are always accomodating and warm. They made me feel like I’m part of their family. I will always cherish those times.

I’m deeply saddened by the passing of Rey. He will be missed. We will keep Rey and your entire family in our thoughts and in our prayers.

My deepest sympathy and heartfelt sorrow goes out to the Merced family for their loss.

Rey touched the lives of those who knew him well and has left a lasting impression of the true meaning of what a friend is made of.

The past has come and gone and our lives have moved on but the memories that we shared of both laughter and tears will never be forgotten.

My condolences to Rey’s family. My cousins, Zaldy and Lizette Patawaran, and I knew Rey while we were in high school. We attended a dance together at Rainier Beach High School. We did not keep in touch over the years I live in Canada now but I have some nice high school memories of Rey. He was a sweet guy. He left this world much too early. May he rest in peace.

My deepest sympathy to the Merceds. We will always remember Rey for all the laughters. Everytime I would see him at Nardo’s or Koffee Pot, he would always say. “You know, I always see your little sister Jaclyn here. Don’t worry, whenever I’m here, she’ll be in good hands. I’ll watch her for you.”

Thanks Rey
