I am just one of a great many that will remember Richard as friendly, warm, funny & concerned & loving person.. A very nice man to remember. I will miss his stories of the tug boats in Alaska.
Love & miss you, Richard
Author of Tacoma’s Salmon Beach, and sponsor of a reunion and party for Charlotte Mims Reis family and friends.
Our deepest sympathy to you Kelley and the family. Rich will be missed. Sorry I cannot attend the service as that is my moving day.
During the 15 years that we’ve lived next door to Richard, we loved watching him get into one of his boats and go for a putt around the lake in the late afternoon hours when the lake was quieter. He seemed somehow at peace there. Richard was always ready to stop for a visit at the mailbox and would let us know how he was doing/feeling or share a brief story. He had a gentle chuckle that we’ll remember.
Though we’re unable to attend the memorial, you’ll all be in our hearts that day. Losing a wonderful father and grandfather is one of life’s toughest hurdles. We’re thinking about you.
Condolences to the Kennedy family. May Jehovah the “God of Comfort” bring you comfort and peace at this difficult time (2 Corinthians 1:3 & 4).
