I am so sorry to hear of Richards passing.

We worked together for a few years prior to his job with USwest, where he met Nancy.

Many of us at the Library were saddend by the news.

He was a wonderfull man, with a huge open heart and gracious soul.

When he met Nancy and it became serious, his face would light up when he spoke of her.

My deepest sympathy to Nancy and his family.

Clarice

Richard was a zany and delightful co-worker at Seattle Public Library many years ago. I’m still working at the Library, so remember all the original gang from my earlier days here. He worked in the Circulation Department, now Borrowers’ Services. Had a great sense of humor. He will be missed by all who knew him, and our hugs to his surviving family members is given over this medium. Thank you for the opportunity to share memories of Richard. With sympathy to all of you. I have had the opportunity just over the last few years to work with Richard. Though I never had the pleasure to met Richard in person, his picture reminds me of laughter in his voice. He would always bring a smile to my face with his laughing personality. Richard was a very hard worker and I feel blessed to have known him, even for this short period of time. We enjoyed sharing with each other our joys of our families. I will miss Richard.

My deepest sympathies to you Nancy, as well as Richard’s extended family. I remember working on the 20th floor and the two of you were just dating at that time, many years ago indeed. Richard’s friendly smile will be missed here at Qwest. May the comfort of God’s loving arms hold you in this time of sorrow.

I have known Richard since the 1970’s, when he worked for me in Commercial Forecasting at Pacific NW Bell. I found him to be a great guy, always upbeat and helpful. He was a “world beater” when it came to fulfilling any request I might have had of him. Although I only saw him infrequently in the past few years, I found that he had not changed, and still had his upbeat outlook, and always a smile or laugh. Richard was probably the most reliable employee I ever had work for me. I am very sorry to hear of his passing, and I will miss him.

I was very sorry to hear about Richard. I knew Richard at Qwest/U S WEST/PNB for many years and will miss him. Richard was always so cheerful when our paths would cross at work with a big smile in greeting. I hope that his family’s grief will soon be replaced by memories of happier times.
