Obituary
Richard W. Beyerlein
Richard Beyerlein, age 81, of Seattle, Washington, died April 2, 2006, following a brief illness.
Born in Seattle on January 27, 1925, to William Biff and Ruth Beyerlein, Richard attended Franklin High School and married his high school sweetheart, Marjorie. Together they had five children prior to Marjorie’s early death from cancer in 1972.
Richard was an excellent dancer. He enjoyed square dancing with Marjorie and later in life was a regular on the dance floor at Dixieland Jazz festivals up and down the West Coast.
Richard enjoyed life to the fullest and traveled widely after taking early retirement from Sperry Rand at the age of 57. In his late 70s he and his girlfriend Theda Brenston visited Bavaria, Germany, from where his grandfather immigrated to the United States in 1865.
Richard is survived by his children, Douglas Joan Beyerlein, Gregory Netta Beyerlein, Barbara Robert Wollman, Barry Kimberly Beyerlein, and Sharon Beyerlein all of whom were present and attended to Richard in the days preceding his death; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; cousins, and many friends. Richard will be missed by all.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 8, 2006, at Bonney-Watson Parker Chapel, 900 SW 146th Street, Burien, Washington.

I was saddened to hear of Dick’s passing. He and his family have been dear freinds of our family for many years. He was my very favorite dance partner. Til we dance again Dick. Love,
Kathie Long Salonen
My sympathies to the entire family at the loss of their father, grandfather, & gr grandfather. As a dance partner, he was the greatest. His zest for life was fantastic and a joy to behold.
We are sorry to learn of the loss of a great friend over the years who has had our families so intertwined. Dick’s friendship has been very important to us. Love,
Mercedes & Bob Long
We are sorry to hear of your loss. Richard was a great companion to Theda, who is Bruce’s aunt, and a delight to whomever he met. We only saw Richard on a few occasions but enjoyed his sense of humor and sheer delight at life. He was always so full of energy and enthusiasm! Our hearts and prayers go out to Richard’s family and to Aunt Theda. Richard will be missed by all who knew him.
It was a pleasure to meet Richard and Theda. It was great for me to show them a little bit Munich. It was really a nice time, which I will never forget.
