Obituary
Robbie Marie Trigg took her place in Heaven Thursday, July 17, 2014.
She was born to Howard and Johnnie (Morris) Wooten in Lovelady, Texas on August 10, 1926, and as a child she developed a strong work ethic while handling various chores on the family farm.
Robbie had eleven siblings, and was one of seven who fell in love with the Pacific Northwest and settled in Seattle.
She attended beauty school here and worked for a time in that profession. She joined First A.M.E. Church and was a member for more than sixty years.
Robbie married Relus McDuffie in 1946, and to that union three sons were born.
A determined yet fun-loving and witty woman with an infectious smile and laugh, Robbie loved to travel, meet new people and learn about different cultures.
In 1961, she married E. DeWitt Trigg, Sr., and added a daughter and another son to her family. Robbie worked industriously at home, and for 25 years at The Boeing Company as an aerospace assembler. Upon retirement she dedicated several more years as a City school crossing guard. But the job of which Robbie was most proud was raising her five children whom she loved tremendously and sacrificed for regularly.
Robbie is survived by daughter, Sandra Trigg Smith; sons Larry, Gregory, and Gary McDuffie, and Kevin Trigg.
Grandchildren, Jasmin and Justin McDuffie, Morgan Smith, and Kingsley and Skyler Trigg; four sisters, W. Verleeta Benton, Princella May, Maye Dee Martin, and Lawrence Beall. Three brothers, A.G., Burtis, and Holloway Wooten. Four brothers proceeded Robbie in death; Howard, Morris, Octavius and Hayes Wooten.
