Robert “Coop” Cooper, age 55, passed away on February 19, 2024, in Burien, Washington. Born on December 25, 1968, in King County, Seattle, Washington, he was the beloved son of Nora R. Kelly and Robert M. Cooper and brother to Aron Strand.

Cooper embarked on a remarkable journey, serving his country in the US Navy at the age of 17. He proudly served as a crewmember aboard the USS Coral Sea from 1986 to 1990, demonstrating unwavering dedication while working in the ship’s engine room. Beyond his military service, Cooper pursued his passion for boxing, showcasing his determination and resilience.

His love for the great outdoors was evident in his favorite pastimes of fishing, hunting, and embracing new adventures. Cooper possessed a magnetic personality, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he encountered with his warmth and charm.

Cooper is survived by his children, Dustin Cooper, Robert Cooper, Michael McCosh, Kristina Lonsdale, and Amber James. In honor of his vibrant spirit, there will be no funeral. Instead, a celebration of life will be held to commemorate the joy and love he brought to all who knew him. May his adventurous soul find eternal peace.
