Obituary

Rolando C Jarata, known to his friends and family as “Boeing” was born in the Philippines on March 16, 1944.  He immigrated to the United States in the early 1980’s.  Boeing married Emma Angeles a few years later and together they had one son, Armand Raymond “Ajay” Jarata.

He started his career as a chef before transitioning into manufacturing. After a decades-long career in manufacturing, he retired in 2018.

Boeing was a loving husband, a doting father to Ajay and to his anak Shiboo, and a lolo to his granddaughter Remedios. Boeing’s life centered around his family and bowling in Washington State.

With 12 championships under his belt, Boeing was a bowling hall of famer. He was a participant in several local leagues and was known as “The King of Skyway” in the 9 Pin No Tap community.  Boeing was a great bowler and a respected mentor, specifically to his son Ajay.

Boeing is survived by his wife of 40 years, Emma Angeles-Jarata and his son Ajay Jarata. He is also survived by his siblings Edith Jarata Gomez, Baby Jarata, Noni Jarata, and his family in Seattle. He is a proud Papa to Shiboo Krismer Blalack, and very proud PaLolo to our little bulilit, Remedios.
