Ron mediated several labor disputes in which I was involved in the 1980’s. He was a consummate and creative labor relations professional. I was privileged to have known him.

My condolences to his family.

My handsome hero in Hawaii at the Retail Clerks Convention. We had such a good time and fell in love with Ron and Barb at our first meeting. He was the only true gentlemen I have every know.

Ron and I worked together at the Safeway on Mercer St. in 1945. Red was there, too. I recall their efforts and election to #1105. He made a real difference for working people. I’m sure that he will be missed. John A. Henry 425 774-4079

My Uncle was a great man, a role model and a mentor. I loved him and respected him. I shall always miss him, but am a better person from his influence.

Uncle Ron was one of those people that once you’ve met them you’ll never forget them. My involvement in the Union was in a very large part due to Uncle Ron. I think about him everyday. When I make a decision doing “the business” I always ask myself how would Uncle Ron handle this. It works out 99% of the time! I’m going to miss him greatly.

I’m sure when it’s my time to join him I will see him up there organizing the angels and mediating any issues that arise!

Ron was a vital part of our Family reunion time and we did enjoy our visits. He was such a congenial man with a smile on his face, and pleasant demeanor. On one occasion he mentioned how much he thought of Bobbie, his wife and how proud he was of her. He was a NICE man and what more can be said than that??
