Obituary
Ronald W. Roos went home to our Lord on August 24, 2012 .
He was born on January 31, 1930 to John and France Roos, of Seattle.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy of 51 years and daughters Betty Jean (Tom ) O’Neal, Debra (Bryan) Hanson and his four grandchildren Jarred Lee, Kristina, Amber and Benjamin Hanson; sister Elaine Underhill (Ed) and Jack (Mary Nell) Roos and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ron attended Hamilton Middle School, Lincoln High School and the University of Washington, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science. Upon graduation, he went to work at Boeing Aerospace for 17 years. Ron then started his own Electrical Contracting Business, which he operated for 37 years.
Ron was a man of great integrity and faith, a genuine man of God with a true servants heart. He assisted a start up church in Renton in the late 1950’s and in 1962 he was asked by Philadelphia Church of Seattle, to move south to Federal Way to assist a young pastor, Dave Engebretson in a new church (Colonial Bible Church), which he was an active member until 2001. Ron and Dorothy then moved to Auburn and became active members in the NW Family church of Auburn.
Ron enjoyed engaging with his grandchildren and supporting them in their various sporting activities. He also enjoyed golfing, fishing, playing tennis and sunbathing during his annual vacation time on Whidbey Island.
Celebration of Ron’s life, will be held at 3pm on Friday, September 7th, at Northwest Family Church, 3535 Auburn Way S., Auburn WA. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be directed to NW Family Church Mission.
Dear Dorothy and family of Ron,
I am so surprised to see this notice that Ron has passed on to eternal life with Jesus. I trust the Lord to be with you each moment of each day, as you will miss Ron so much.
Love in Christ, DiAnn
Milbre and I were saddened to hear of Brother Ron Roos’ home going this past week. I have so many fond memories of Ron.
I remember a dedicated Christian that loved God with all his heart and lived that way. He was always enthusiastic to serve in any way possible. He gave of himself to so many ministry opportunities.
He loved to visit and pray with people who needed a touch from God.
Ron had the heart of a servant!
This good man will be missed by so many.
Dorothy, our prayers are with you and your family.
May God bless you!
