September 15, 1914 – October 5, 2009
Mass of Christian Burial for Rose Honeyman, age 95 of Dickinson, formerly of Regent, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 10, 2009 at St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Regent with Fr. Charles Zins and Fr. George Dukart, officiating.
Visitation will be Friday evening at 6:00 pm at St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Regent with a Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m.

A Memorial Graveside Service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at the Gethsemane Cemetery Chapel in Federal Way, WA with Deacon Dell Hoover, officiating. Burial will be in the Gethsemane Cemetery in Federal Way, WA.

Serving as casketbearers are Rose’s grandchildren

ROSE URLACHER was born September 15, 1914 in Hettinger County, ND near New England to Anton and Margaret Staudinger Urlacher. She grew up in the Kennedy Community south of New England and attended a country school. At an early age, she began helping her parents on the family farm.

Rose was united in marriage to Jacob ‘Jake’ Huck on October 12, 1934 at St. Helen’s Mission in Kennedy Township. They farmed and ranched together in the Kennedy area until 1947, when they moved into Regent. They owned and operated ‘Jake’s Bar’ in Regent until moving to Seattle in 1965. Rose worked in the kitchen at the Cabrini Hospital in Seattle for several years.

In 1974, they returned to Regent where they were active in St. Henry’s Catholic Church, the Regent Senior Citizens, and Bible Study. On October 8, 1978, her husband passed away. Rose continued living in Regent.

She was united in marriage to Earl Honeyman on September 7, 1986 at St. Henry’s Catholic Church. They continued living in Regent. Earl passed away on August 12, 1995.

In 2006, Rose moved to St. Benedicts Health Center in Dickinson. She passed from this life there on Monday, October 5, 2009.

Surviving family members include her one son, Robert Huck, Squinn, WA; 4 daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Ed Schmidt, Sea Tac, WA; Loretta and Linus Fix, Mission, TX; Mary and Roy Sayler, Federal Way, WA; Agnes and Dave Atkinson, Billings, MT; one daughter-in-law, Rose Huck, Citrus Heights, CA; 28 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren; 2 step-sons and step-daughters-in-law, Julius and Carolyn Honeyman, Alan and Irene Honeyman, all of Regent, ND; 3 step-daughters and step-sons-in-law, Rosella and Jim Anderson, of Regent, ND; Angeline Rixen, Minot, ND; Claudia and Vernon Krebs, Bismarck, ND; 23 step-grandchildren, 49 step-great grandchildren, and 10 step-great- great grandchildren, and one sister, Catherine Dukart, Glen Ullin, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jacob, her husband Earl, one son, Frank, grandson, Troy Atkinson, 6 brothers, Wilhelm, Dominique, John, George, Lucas, and Anton Urlacher, 2 sisters, Elizabeth Duckart, and Pauline Stockert.
