We are going to miss our Auntie Rose. We are Blessed to know that we do get to see her agian in heaven thru eternity, as she had made Jesus, Lord of her life. What a peace and what a joy to know this. We love her whole family the ones here and the ones with her.
We will indeed still get another family reunion, Hope she brings the rolls!!!
Hugs to you all…
Please know we are praying God’s comfort over you at this time of loss. We have fond memories of Rose and her ministry at Trinity!
Mrs Gilbert was a great AWANA leader at our church. She always had a smile, not just for the kids in her group but for everyone. I will always remember her fondly. My Prayers are with you all through this time. Love, Kimmie
I just want you to know that we are praying for your family. Rose was Shawn’s Sparks handbook leader for quite awhile and he enjoyed her so much.
I love my sister, and her wonderful family. I am looking forward to seeing her agian, in heaven. Some of my favorit memories would be her cooking, and the encouragement she gave me when I started college, she assisteded me alot on assignments. I am always here for her family if I can ever help.
I have been so blessed to have Aunt Rose as my aunt. I have so many wonderful childhood memories of our families being together.
Aunt Rose was such a wonderful cook. Every family get together, I couldn’t wait to eat her chip dip, rolls, cookies, cakes or just about anything she made. She was a good teacher too. She taught my Mom to make really good rolls, cookies and pickels.
Aunt Rose liked to sew. Sue, Jan and Carol always had new pretty dresses. Aunt Rose had the best collection of material ever and she sure knew how to sew. Aunt Rose would finish one project and then start another one. It was never boring at the Gilbert home.
When my Dad was at sea, Aunt Rose was a wonderful loving support to my Mom. She wasn’t just a sister-in-law, she was more like a sister and a good friend throughout their lives.
Aunt Rose always had beautiful gardens. Going to her home was like going to a park. I also loved the berry bushes in the front yard.
I love Aunt Rose. I am thankful she was my Aunt. She will always be in my heart. I will never forget her love and kindness throughout my life.
I will also never forget her strong spirit. She even helped my Mom and Dad later in life when she didn’t feel good and wasn’t at her best. She was courageous. She never stopped helping people and supporting her family.
I am thankful that Aunt Rose is in heaven with Jan, and my Mom and Dad.
I send my love to Uncle Grant, Sue and Carol and her family. May God grant you strength and peace during this time. Love never dies. We may loose our love ones in the flesh but we never do in our hearts.
God bless you all. I love you.
Karen
Well I for one have the best memories of one of my dearest friends and mothers. Mrs. G as I’ve always called her took this bossy kid and put her in her place whenever she felt I was getting out of hand.
I for one can say I was one of her kids…She always let me know that no-matter what I did wrong she could forgive me as well as our Father in Heaven could forgive.
When I think of the woman that I am today I must give Mrs. G 60% of the credit…She took me under her loving arms and help mold me into who I am today.
Whenever I think about the major decisions I’ve made in my life I’ve alway’s talked them over with her first. her wisdom was neverending.
When I think about her being gone I feel sorry for myself because she’s not here with me anymore, However my loss is Heaven’s gain…She is up there bossing someone around in the kitchen or telling someone how to make that stich straight Everyone know’s she was an AWSOME Power on the sewing machine I carried the same wedding dress picture around for 6 yrs and I was so proud on my wedding day to wearing itmade by her loving hands…she put those special touches on it to let me know it was made with her love for me
When I think about my decision to move back East and go to College I don’t know who was more excited Mrs. G or me. She was always my champion.
Mrs. G I thank you for all the love that showered on this lost soul…for showing me that if I put Christ first in my life he would never fail me and I will never be alone. I will carry you in my heart always until we meet again at heavens gates I LOVE YOU DEARLY!!!!!
To Grant, Carol and Sue thank you for sharing your Wife / Mother with me I am so much richer in my life for having been a part of her life…I count myself among the privledged few who can honestly say She was my Mrs. G….
Much Love and Christ Blessing on your lives
Sharee
P.s. Mrs. G save me a spot you know I’ll be looking out for you when it’s my turn to go to Our Fathers house….
We first met Rose 12 years ago on Thanksgiving at her house. Her hospitality and generosity were matched by delicious home cooking, and we enjoyed several more meetings over the years. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Grant, Sue, Carol, J, and the grandchildren. She was a special lady and has left a legacy of love.
Rose and I both graduated from W. S. High in 1946. Then in the 70’s, two of my sons attended Hazen High, and I saw Rose again. I saw the Obituary in the Renton Reporter.
Your family has my deepest sympathy.
Sincerely, Joan
Mrs. G, you will be missed! Thank you for all you did for the girls sports teams at Hazen. You were our #1 supporter and I for one appreciate all you did for us. Thank you for all you did for the students at Hazen High School. You will not be forgotten. God bless you!
One of your many “kids” from Hazen High School,
Reiko M. Frank
Class of 1987
Please accept my sincere sympathy with the passing of Rose. I spent many hours bargaining school distirct contracts with Rose. She always had a positive approach to working things out with the district. I learned a great deal from her and found her to be a very gracious and loving person. When she retired from the the school district her presences were greatly missed. It was always nice when she showed up as a substitute in one of the buildings. She always brought a little sunshine with her.
Sincerely, Joan Summers, Retired Renton School District.
