Obituary

On Tuesday, May 17, 2022, Rose M. (Almen) Lauer passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Rose was born September 14, 1955 in Grafton, ND, to the late Ardell Almen and to Betty (Nelson) Almen. She is survived by her husband Arnold Lauer, sons Michael (Teringchi) Lauer, Andrew (Jessica) Lauer and Daniel (Dyan) Lauer, daughters Brenda Lauer and Becky (Laszlo) Lazuer and multiple grandchildren as well as her brothers Jeff (Sandra) Almen, Jim Almen (Ross Fallah), Dean (Gwen) Almen and sisters Sue (Bruce) Mitz, Mary (Dave) Goehle and many others who loved her and called her ‘Mom’ and ‘Grandma.’  

Rose grew up outside of Grafton, ND where she developed a love for horses that lasted her whole life.  She graduated from Grafton Central High School in 1973.  In 1976 she married Arnold Lauer and soon began her family.  With Arnold, she lived in Park River, ND where she continued to keep, ride and love her horses.  In 1990 she moved with her family to SeaTac, WA where she worked at King County Water District until her retirement. When her children grew and married, Rose excelled in her role as grandmother.

Rose was a dedicated member of Burien Free Methodist and later Oasis Home Church in Burien, Washington.  Over the years at her church she served variably as bookkeeper, librarian, teacher, custodian and prayer warrior.  
 
Rose will be remembered by the love she displayed in all these facets of her life.

You are so loved my favorite mother in law. We miss you every day but you are weaved into the fabric of our lives and will be forever remembered. I love you so much.
