Obituary
Roy passed away peacefully on February 2, 2010, in Seattle after a short illness. Roy was born October 31, 1916, in Tokyo, Japan, lived his early childhood years in Ketchikan, Alaska, and later moved to Seattle, graduating from Broadway High School. After owning and running two service stations, he worked at Boeing as a plastics fabricator, retiring in 1982. He was a devoted husband and father who shared his love of fishing, mushroom picking, and camping with his family. Roy will be deeply missed by his wife of 56 years, Fumiko ‘Penni’; sons Eric Ron Shiley, Larry Gwen, and Craig; and granddaughter Tori. He was preceded in death by his parents Kumajiro and Harue, sisters Yasuye and Yukie Dick Kimura, and brother Joe. The family would like to thank the staff at Keiro Nursing Home for their remarkable kindness and caring.
R.I.P. grandpa. I love you .
