Roy S. Kido
Roy Sumihisa Kido passed away on July 31st, 2016. He is survived by his wife Suzy, his daughter Linda, his son Jeff and Jeff’s son Devin, his sister Helen Murahashi, and many nieces and nephews and in-laws.
Roy was born in Gresham, OR in 1934 to parents Kyuzo Kido and Tsuya Sakata. In the spring of 1942, the family of ten were forced to relocate with only what they could carry to a desolate region in Southern Idaho where they were kept behind barbed wires before moving in the spring of 1945 to Weiser, ID. Roy graduated Weiser H.S. in 1953. He eventually settled into his home in Des Moines, WA where he lived for many years, working in produce until he retired. Roy accepted Christ as his Savior in the weeks before his passing onto Heaven.
Roy’s funeral service will be held on Friday, August 12th, 2016 at 3pm in Bonney-Watson’s chapel at 16445 International Bl., SeaTac, WA 98188, followed by a burial at Washington Memorial Park along with his brother George’s burial, then a reception. All are welcome to attend.
Roy was a wonderful friend and neighbor since 1965 and he smile and easy going manner will indeed be missed by all his friends
I met Roy before Roy met Suzie. Reminiscing those earlier times I remember Roy for his thoughtful sensitivity and his unpretentious nature. A rare privilege to have enjoyed his friendship.
