Ruby Margaret Streit

Ruby Margaret Streit,  97, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Wesley Homes Care Center in Auburn, WA.  She was born December 7, 1921 in Goff, KS to Clarence and Mary Mayer.

She was raised in and around Sabetha, KS.  She married John G Streit of Bern, KS in Reno, NV on March 15, 1942 and they raised their family in Seattle, WA.  He died on April 23, 1989. Ruby was also preceded in death by her parents, her siblings Roy, Robert, Hazel Milne, and Fredrick, her son John Jr. and her grandson Bradley. 

Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Rogers & husband Ron Rogers of Maple Valley, WA, Valerie Young of Pahrump, NV; son Elvin Streit of Pahrump, NV; eight grandchildren, Robert Fletcher, Ronald Rogers Jr, Michael Rogers, Gary Rogers, Tracy Streit, Jennifer Williams, Bryan Streit, Tera Streit; 12 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

Ruby was a longtime, faithful member of VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) Auxiliary #2289 in Seattle, WA. We enjoyed her cheerful, witty nature. She will be missed.
