Obituary

Rudolph (Rudy) Fast

April 21, 1917 – February 01, 2020

Rudy Fast went to his heavenly home on 2/01/2020.  He will be dearly missed as a Father, Grandpa, Great Grandpa and Great-Great Grandpa.  He is preceded in death by wife, Ann; son, Donald; and 5 of his 6 brothers and 3 sisters.  He is survived by his brother Henry (Berniece), daughter Judy (Dave) MacMillan, daughter Jean Fast, 11 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 1 great, great grandchild.

Rudy was born in Poplar, Montana.  He was raised in South Dakota until he graduated from high school at the age of 21.  He and his brother hitchhiked their way to Minnesota, where he met and married Ann.  He worked in farming, owned a hardware store, and owned a drive in restaurant.  Then, he and Ann moved their family out West where he was hired by Boeing as a parts inspector and retired in 1981.  In retirement, he enjoyed many hobbies:  rock hounding and jewelry making, wood working, Victorian lampshade making, and painting.  His hobbies ended when he became legally blind.  He loved spending time with family for all of his 102 years of life.  He was quick witted and always teased those he loved.  He was a devoted Christian and we were blessed to call him ours.  Services will be held February 9, 2020 at Bonney-Watson in Federal Way at 1:00 pm. (1535 SW Dash Point Rd.)
