Rufus Pete Cruz: Born May 19 1930, Died June 25 2017
With great sadness we will lay our beloved Father to rest. Rufus was surrounded by the love of his family at the time of his death. We will always remember our Father for his strength, love of the the Lord and dedication to our family. We mourn our loss but celebrate his life knowing he is now with our Mother and our heavenly Father. Rest in peace my king and rejoice in the love which you so deserve. We love you, will always miss you, and happy that you are healthy and finally home.
Rufus is survived by his five children, Cindy (Dwain), Mark (Cheryl), Cora (John), Debbie (Craig), Cuca (Cameron), Grandchildren and Great grandchildren.

Dear Cruz Family: There are times when words fall short for what only the heart can express. Our hearts are with yours. We will miss you Rufus…Sue, Adrian, Danielle, Jaydin and Jordyn.
My dear cousins, I once heard an interview of a man that had suffered a total loss of memory of even his own identity due to some injury. When his family took him home from the hospital they were total strangers to him and he had to only trust them that they were related as he slipped into bed that evening with a stranger (his wife) while previously listening to family stories and events from his children that were all foreign to him. Memories are who we are and without them we have no identity. Feel God’s comfort and embrace through all your memories and relive that joy! That is who you are as family! Love and prayers, tus primos Victor & Sonia Rico
Sending our love and prayers to you all.
With a heavy heart, our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. You have a strong bond as a family and have always openly welcomed me in to your lives and homes. Rufus was a great man that has raised a wonderful family and will be truly missed. God bless you all.

Sorry To The Cruz Family For Your Great Lose. Rest In Pease Friend
To all the Cruz family. Even though Rufus was actually my cousin, I always considered him my uncle. I have many memories great memories from childhood especially music, his voice! He will be missed by me and my wife Teri. We will never forget him. I’m so grateful Teri and I visited him just a few days before he graduated to be with Flora. Rest in peace cousin.
Your Dad touched many lives. Mine was through friendship with his children and grandkids. I could see his firm and yet gentle rules instilled in their up bringing. Love, respect to all that had this great man cross their paths. So sorry for your loss. See you on the other side Rufus, our paths will cross again. Aloha ‘oe
