Obituary

Ruth Clark, age 89, passed away peacefully March 7, 2004 in Seattle. A few months ago, Ruth provided the following summary of her life, “I was born in St. John, North Dakota in 1914 and came to Washington State in 1942 with my husband Jim and our young daughter Sharon. Jim and I celebrated over 50 wedding anniversaries together. We had four children, Sharon, Daryl, Bill and Darlyne. They grew up and attended college here in Seattle. All live nearby and visit often. I was a full time homemaker and loved baking cookies and bread, and sewing. In my spare time, I designed and sewed party and wedding dresses for special people. My biggest accomplishment is raising my children and I’m most proud of their successes in life. I have 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. They are all first rate!” At Ruth’s request, there will be a private observance. The family has entrusted arrangements to BONNEY-WATSON Washington Memorial, 16445 International Blvd., SeaTac, WA 206 242-1787.

I’ve so many wonderful fond memories of Ruth, growing up next door to her and her family. One of her greatest assets was her sense of humor which always warmed my heart as well as made me smile. Our condolences to the family.

You are in our thoughts and prayers. Please accept our deepest sympathy in the loss of your mother My Aunt Ruth.

Irish Prayer:

May the road rise up to meet you.

May the wind be always at your back

May the sun shine warm upon your face and the rains fall softly on the fields

May god hold you in the hollow of his hand.

I was so sad to hear of dear Ruth’s passing. We had such a lovely time reminicing last summer. She always had a bit of mischief and twinkle in her eye, a smile on her face, and love for us all in her heart. Our prayers and thoughts are with you all.

Blessings, Sharon & Steve Dunne
