Obituary
Samuel Roy Williams was born June 17, 1943 to Richard & Lucille Williams Sr. in Waxahachie, TX. He graduated from Turner High School in 1962. At a young age he enjoyed fishing. He went on to enlist in The United States Army from 1966-1972 where he held rank of an E6. Samuel then went on to work for Safeway as a Baker for 13 years in Dallas, TX.
August 13, 1973 Samuel married the love of his life, Barbara Ann Sneed. In this union they had two children: Samuel Marcus and Lydia Diana. In 1986 the family relocated to Seattle, Washington. He worked for Franz Bakery and was affectionately known as “The Bread Man” for over 25 years until his health declined.
Samuel loved to watch Jeopardy, was a die heart Green Bay Packers fan, and enjoyed visits from his grandchildren. His quiet and timid personality we sure miss.
Samuel transitioned to his eternal home on October 16, 2021 at Swedish Medical Center First Hill Campus in Seattle, Washington. His parents Richard & Lucille Williams Sr., His loving wife Barbara Ann Williams, siblings Richard Williams, Amos Williams, Billy Williams, Ruby Pearl Buansai, and Annie Marie Wheaton preceded him in death.
His life will forever be remembered and cherished by his: son Samuel Marcus Williams (Tamara), and daughter Lydia Diana Evans (Rashahid) grandchildren: Chanel Wofford, Anthony Williams, Alexander Williams, Sabelle Williams, Ra’Shyelle Evans, and Camille Evans, brother Rev. George E. Williams (Rosie), sisters: Anita Whitehead and Gloria Thomas (Billy). He also leaves a host of nieces/nephews, cousins, uncles, aunts and friends who will miss him dearly.
