Sandra Jean Schellhase
Our beloved Sandra Jean Schellhase passed away November 22, 2012. She was born November 21, 1939 in Kalispell, MT. Sandra was preceded by her parents Thomas and Clara Bell Haynes, brother Thomas Haynes, first husband Roland Schellhase, and son Rick Schellhase. Sandra is survived by her husband Dwaine Coverson of 33 years, favorite uncle and aunt Walt and Shirley Weaver, son Kenny (Pam) Schellhase, son Steve (Lori) Schellhase, daughter Sherri (Tom) Garrison, and son Scott Schellhase, grandchildren Jeff, Carey, Teria, Robby, Kenny, Sarah, Amanda, Kevin, Tommy, Aaron, Jonathon, and Brandon, several great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, and childhood friend Dee White.
Sandra moved to California as a young child, and then to Washington, graduating from Highline High School in 1957. She soon married and started a family. In the 1970’s Sandra started working in the hotel industry, working in a various assortment of jobs, exceeding in them all. As time went on she became an active member in Union Local 8, on the board for contract negotiations; she believed in a fair work place for all. Sandra retired from the SeaTac Hilton January 20, 2010.
The highlight of her life was family. She enjoyed her many travels with Dwaine, coast to coast, and around the world, especially traveling to Australia’s Police World Olympics, and to Kawasaki, Japan with the Masons. Late 2010 Sandra was diagnosed with lung cancer. After a long bout with cancer she passed away at home in peace, in the loving arms of her family.
Visitation Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday December 4th, 5th, and 6th from 2-5pm each day, with Funeral Service Friday, December 7, 2012 at 1:00pm all at Bonney-Watson Washington Memorial, 16445 International Blvd., SeaTac, WA 98188.

My prayers are with you during your time the loss of Sandi
I had the pleasure of working with Sandy in the retirement center and also one of the hotels. She was always a kind, caring person. I will never forget her favorite saying. If someone did something, that they shouldn’t have, she would always say. “Darn Fool” She was a great person.
May you find peace, and comfort in this time of deep sorrow.

A sad loss for anyone who knew Sandy. We’d been friends since high school and used to do family get-togethersas our kids were growing up. She was a special person.
Sandy I will miss you terribly. From the first time I met you, it felt like I had always known you. What a special lady. We celebrated a lot of birthdays around the breakfast table and I will miss that.
To Sandy’s family, I am truly sorry for your loss.

Well, my dear, dear friend. It has taken me awhile to write on this, I kept trying, but just could not say good by.
Our friendship of 60 years almost, you are not here for me to tell you all the things I want to share with you. I miss you so much.
You have gone to a better place now and there is no more pain and suffering for you.
I will always remember all the fun we had growing up and all the dumb things we did.
