Obituary
Sara was born in Leachville, Arkansas on January 1, 1948 to Irene Joyce and Orland Madison. Sara and her parents along with her oldest sister Norma Nettles lived for a short time in St Louis, MO. When Sara was 2 she moved back to Leachville and lived with her Great Aunt and Uncle Cora and Bill Fields, who were very devout Christians. This provided a strong influence for her as she grew up in her teenage years.
In 1964 Sara met Ricky Eakins at a small drug store in Leachville. They only dated once but about 1 year later they met again thru a mutual friend and were later married on February 18, 1966. Sara was blessed with the birth of 2 daughters, Melissa was born September 1, 1969 and Jennifer was born on November 13, 1973.
Early in 1974 Sara Developed severe kidney problems and was admitted to Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN where she underwent 9 dialysis treatments. Through a miracle from God, she recovered and after spending 5 weeks in the hospital she came home to be with her family.
In 1980 Sara and family moved to Sumner, WA for 1 year then decided to move back to Arkansas. After 1 year there, they decided to move back to WAshington and lived in Auburn, WA for 7 years before moving to their home in Pacific, WA in 1989.
Sara and Rick have been married for 52 years and have 2 daughters, 6 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Sara lived for family get togethers and Christmas. She waS always her most happy when with family.
Sara’s health had not been the best over the last 5 years and continued dialysis took it’s toll on her body. She never complained, always had a smile on her face, and was The sweetest person I ever knew. She leaves a hole in my heart that can’t be filled. She will always be loved.

She was the greatest mother and my best friend! I will miss her so much. The day she left this earth she took a piece of my heart with her. My comfort comes from knowing she is not in any more pain and I will see her again someday in Heaven. She is rejoicing with our Lord, who she loved more than anything.
My mother was an amazing woman and I am going to miss her so, so much. She definitely had that southern charm with the accent to match, which everyone always loved. I know she is having so much fun in heaven with Jesus, and my only consolation is knowing that we will all be with her again one day. I love you very much!! RIP mama.
