Sau Yu Yee

Obituary
After a long 8 year battle in Hong Kong, Sau Yee passed away peacefully on July 3, 2013 at the age of 70. Sau was born in Toishan, China on July 24, 1942. At the age of 20, Sau moved to Hong Kong and fell in love and married Shik Yee in February of 1963, they were married for 44 years. After having three sons, the family moved to Seattle in July of 1971. Sau was a seamstress for over 20 years. Retiring from her seamstress job in 1992, she helped out at the family restaurant “The Silver Swan”. Then in 1994 she left the restaurant to pursue her true passion of babysitting her grand kids. Sau enjoyed traveling all over the US and Asia. She was well known in the Beacon Hill Chinese community. Sau was blessed with many friends, and worked hard to pass down Chinese traditions and customs to her sons and grandsons. She reunites with her husband Shik, who passed away in January of 2007. Sau is survived by her three sons, Kin, Pong, and Chung; grandsons Taylor, Jonathan, Evan, Cameron, and Kyle.
