Scott Henry Malkuch
September 26, 1961 - March 25, 2018
Obituary
Scott went to be with the Lord on Sunday morning, March 25th, 2018, at his vacation property at Lake Cushman, WA, he was 56. Scott was born on 9/26/61 in Anchorage AK. to parents Leo and Betty Malkuch.
When he was young his family moved to Washington where he spent his youth building/buying cars so he could race and cruise the streets of Federal Way and Des Moines with his cousins and friends. Later after High school he married the love of his life, Danna Cowles, friend and fellow student at Mt. Rainer High school, in March of 1985. Together they raised 3 kids, Tyler Scott (31), Morgan Leigh (28), and Mandy Elise (26) at their home in Edgewood, WA. After receiving his AA from Highline Community College in Criminal Justice, he began working at the Boeing Company where he spent 31 years as a Manufacturing Engineer in Emergent Operations… changing the world.
His lightheartedness and compassion for others left an impact on everyone he met. He believed strongly in community and served as an Edgewood City Councilman for a 4-year term. Scott loved to stay busy with projects and had a passion for singing and furthering Gods Kingdom. He spent many years in Southern Gospel Quartets where he sang joyfully for the day he would meet his Lord and Savior. Scott was also involved in Gideon’s International where he handed out bibles to those on the streets sharing the Good News of the eternal hope in Jesus Christ.
He survived by his wife, Danna Malkuch; son, Tyler S. Malkuch; daughters, Morgan L. Larche (Mike) and Mandy E. Schumacher (Jake); and Grandson, Henry S. Schumacher (5months). Survived by sister, MaryAnn Lalime (Ron), and 5 nephews and 2 nieces. Also predeceased in death are Scott’s parents and older brother.
There will be a celebration of life on April 21st, 2018 at 1:00pm, at Riverview Community Church in Kent, WA with a reception to follow in the church foyer.

Scott was a very caring person who loved to sing for the Lord. He had a great voice and wonderful smile. He will be missed by many.
I worked with Scott for many years, we did not always agree on things, but I know Scott always intended good things,
He was a good man, I am sad to hear of his passing,
I do not have the words to express my feelings of loss.
Scott, you will be greatly missed. You and Dana made an awesome couple and wonderful parents. I know your family will have many fond memories of the twinkle in your eye, the mischievous smile on you face, and the goodness in you heart.
The gifting of your voice was enjoyed by many and ushered in the presence of our Lord. Beyond your beautiful voice, was the decision to raise your family in the adoration of the Lord. That was an eternal decision. You and Dana have left a beautiful legacy to your family of Love for your Jesus.
I only met Scott recently after he bought his dream property at the lake – One of the nicest men I’ve ever met and the world could use more like you Scott.
We were so sorry to hear of Scott’s passing. As we sit here Easter weekend we are so grateful that we will see him again in heaven. Our hearts and Prayers are with Scott’s family.
My condolences to the family . I know this is a very difficult time for you right now and no words can express how sorry I am for your loss. Please remember that God can comfort us. So draw close to God in prayer so He can draw close to you to comfort you and to give you that peace of God that surpasses all understanding Philippians 4:6;7).May Jehovah God grant you guidance, strength at this difficult time.
I want to extend my sincere sympathy to Danna for the loss of Scott.
Scott and Dana were classmates of mine in High School and I purchased my first car from Scott my sophomore year. 1965 Rambled 440 American!
Scott was a friend, a gentle giant! I wish we stayed in touch. I am saddened by his passing and my prayers go out to Dana and all Scotts family. I am so sorry for your tremendous loss.
My stepdad is Bill Malkuch, Leo Malkuch’s brother, Scott’s uncle. Bill would like to get in touch with MaryAnn to express his condolences. Bill lives in Fairbanks, Alaska. He is currently recovering from a severe fall. He is not computer literate. If MaryAnn or some other relative could email me I would like to put them in touch with Bill.
I am so sorry for your loss.
Scott was a wonderful man and a long-time friend. He loved his family and was so proud of all of them. He loved and served the Lord faithfully, and was a proud witness for the Glory of God. This was a good man who lived a good life. Scott will be missed by all who knew him.
My very sincere condolences to Scott’s family because of his passing. He was a good and thoughtful person, and a good Planner to work with here in Co. 601, Skin & Spar in Auburn. We’ll miss Scott.
John and I will always remember Scott’s heavenly voice. He had such a heart for service to others. He modeled a Godly lifestyle and commitment to the Lord. I only met Scott one time at the Malkuch family reunion in Glendive, Montana some years ago. His gracious and loving spirit made a lasting impression on me. I know heaven is rejoicing but on earth he will truly be missed.
