There are no words to describe how much he will be missed by his family and countless friends all over the world. He touched many people with his unselfish nature, his compassion, and quick smile. Mario was looking forward to his retirement scheduled for this summer to spend more time at home with his family that he loved and took good care of. I would like to extend my condolences to his family. I met Mang Mario right before the last deployment, not realizing he was the uncle that my friends kept talking about while I was working at the airport. He is one of the nicest guy that I have ever met. He kept in contact with me even after he left for Ft Carson. He even called me during the holidays just wish me a Happy Holidays. That is just the type of person he is and he will surely be missed:*
I consider Mario to be one of the nicest gentlemen I have had the honor and privilege to work and serve with. His smile could light up a room. He will be sorely missed. My family’s thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. Farewell my friend.

Since I am unable to attend, let me share my memory of this beautiful person. Mario was always not sometimes available and willing to help anybody. He was always quick with a smile, an active listener, and easy to work with. Even easier was being his friend. I count myself lucky to have been a friend of his. I am sorry for the loss, but know he is sitting in heaven.
