Obituary

A woman who was very special to all who knew and loved her. She passed on the 9th day of April at 1:35pm. Sherry is survived by her wife of 10 years, Sandy, Brother, Dana Thomas Sr, 4 sons: David & Michael Coate, Daniel Collinsworth and Tracy Wilcox, 10 grandkids and 1 Great Grand Child. Her dream of being a Gigi was fulfilled and brought her joy.
She devoted her life to helping others by working in the public service sector for DSHS in the food stamps and medical division, for over 25 years, even have earned Employee of the Year! Sherry then retired and began running an Adult Family Home for Mentally Disabled until she “retired” again and devoted her time to taking care of her family.
Now let’s not also forget the crocheting, oh yes, the crocheting. If you were fortunate enough to have had a blanket, hat, slippers or baby booties made for you the patterns were never plain, but intricate and amazing! She would find patterns online or watch You Tube videos and make them even better. There is enough yarn to start our own supply chain and every color imaginable.
My Mom, Sherry, will always live on in our hearts and would not want to us to mourn her, but celebrate her life and to love and respect others.
I’d like to leave you with this.
To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die –
Thomas Campbell
