Obituary
Sherry Lynnette Harrison, our loving, remarkable daughter, sister, Mother, Grandmother, and friend lost her battle with cancer on October 12, 2017.
Sherry was born on February 18, 1972 to Kenneth Harrison and Lynnette Gulsvig (Timothy) in Salt Lake City, Utah. Sherry grew up across the Salt Lake valley and attended Alta High and Valley High School.
Sherry worked at many jobs, but her time at Navos, as a Peer Support Specialist, was where she truly shone and became a friend, mentor, and inspiration to all those with whom she shared her journey.
Sherry is survived by her Mother, Lynnette Gulsvig; her Father, Kenneth Harrison; her daughters Lisa Harrison and Alexandra Harrison. her sisters, Denise Shirley(Gulsvig), Stephanie Slutz(Gulsvig), Diane Marton(Gulsvig), and Rachelle Fussleman(Gulsvig) and her brother Kenneth Harrison.
Sherry was the proud and loving Grandmother to seven grandchildren who were the light of her life: LaRae, Douglas, LaShawn, Jeremiah, Kathilina, Abby, and Quincy.
Sherry was preceded by both her Paternal Grandfather and Maternal grandparents, as well as her Step Father, Dennis Gulsvig, and his parents. She has also been reunited with her Aunt Phyllis Fowler(Timothy) and Aunt Opal Allen(Timothy) and her infant son, Douglas.
Sherry’s strength, determination, and tender heart brought many special people to her and will remain our enduring memory of a truly courageous woman.
Rest in peace Sherry. Know that you were loved by your family and will be missed by all.
Gone but never forgotten, you have touched so lives rest easy in heaven until we meet again ….
12 forever, Sherry.
Sherry was a wonderful friend and co-worker. She was integral to welcoming me to a new clinical team and a new town- and a new fanbase. 🙂
She was such a huge heart, and had so much good to say about her family and friends. May she rest in peace.
All of our thoughts and prayers are with your family. It has been along time since we have seen Sherry, probably when we were kids in Utah! But I have seen some of her fight on Facebook and how much her grandchildren mean to her! She was a strong woman who will watch over them all!
Love Tina Lopez and Brian Griego (Gulsvig)
We are sorry for your loss of your daughter and sister.
She will be in a better place now and won’t have to suffer any more.
Regards
Ken & Edie
Words cannot convey how truly special Sherry was. We were cubicle neighbors at Navos and were on the same team. She did incredible work not only with the clients, but with her fellow employees, always keeping a positive and compassionate attitude. And the laughter! Such wonderful and silly times we had! God bless this beautiful angel. She has made so many lives better, just by being herself. I will deeply miss Sherry.
With all the love in my heart,
Heather Guiberson

I worked with Sherry at Navos, mostly on the Staff Rep Committee. I feel blessed to have known her. She was an extraordinary woman, and one of the most dedicated people I know, to Navos, to her coworkers, and to her clients. She will be greatly missed. My thoughts are with her family and with all of my old coworkers at Navos, in particular the Heart team. Thinking of all of you.
Sherry was a great aunt and I was lucky to be able to get to know her better over the last 6 years. I’ll always remember the cakes she would make. They were pieces of art. I miss you aunt sherry.
Sherry was a colleague, who was awesome to work with and someone who shared her humor, her ability to connect with clients and her belief in everyone’s potential. I will miss Sherry’s courageousness, her wonderful smile and the stories of her grandchildren. To Sherry’s family, I send my condolences and love.
