Obituary
Born to Elsie and John Shukis in Seattle, WA, mom was a lifelong PNW resident. She grew up in the White Center area and graduated from Highline High School. She married our dad Alden Curran on May 1, 1948, and they were together until his death in 2008.
Shirley is survived by her son Mike (Grace), daughter Molly (Dean); grandchildren Katie, Emily, Briana, and Tyler; and four great-grandchildren.
Mom was the most positive, happy person – she always looked on the bright side of life. Her motto was “enjoy the moment” and she most certainly did…whether it was spending time with friends and family or enjoying one of “life’s little equalizers”, a martini up with a twist! She was a great lady and will be even more greatly missed.
Private interment at Bonney Watson/Washington Memorial Park. Donations in her memory may be made to Seattle Union Gospel Mission or Seattle Children’s Hospital.
