Dearest Shirley, you leave such a big hole. You had such a deep, compassionate heart and a true faith that God was at work in all your circumstances. Indeed He was and is. I am confidant that He will answers all your prayers for your precious loved ones. Now you are with Jesus and free and filled with joy and love. Your reward for trusting in Jesus and all He did for you, accomplished long before you were born. He knew all of your days before there were any of them and He had them all measured out. Thank you for the way you touched all our lives. Thank you for your excellent example in your often praising your husband, saying, “Pete is just amazing!”. Thank you, also, for your verbalizing your faith that God would answer your prayers for your children, that they would come to know Him like you did and walk in His will for their lives. Amen, may it be so! And may there be showers of blessing on those you have left behind. May the Comforter come in your place and strengthen and comfort them fully. You left behind a true family with such strong bonds, it is like you are still here. You have made a beautiful family and they are knitted together in their love for you and eachother. What better monument and honor to a woman’s life!! I love you, my dear sister in Christ and I look forward to seeing you again in Heaven.

Love, Thomasine

Shirley was a warm and loving person. I wish I could have known her better and longer. When I did see Shirley she always made you feel comfortable. We both like talking politics and about God, both of which she knew a lot. You always felt good after talking to her. It’s after people like Shirley leave this earth that you know you have got to get closer to God so you may see her again in her new home.

I am sorry that Pete and the kids had to lose such a person of value, but it must be resassuring to know in your heart where she is.

If i have any thing in my past to truly be thankful for it was you. because of you i knew what a real mother was. and what a mothers love should be. you dies when i was 11 and now i’m 25. and i think about you every day, and wish you were here.

my daughter is 2 years old! and i know you can see her from heaven, and i know you probably saw me push god away for a long time, but ive finally reached the point in my life where ive accepted and asked for forgiveness. and i’m going to church tomorrow my daughters going to sunday school too.i know that would make you happy and proud.

she looks like you in alot of ways

she has your hair color and curls.

i wish you were here… i wish you could be in her life like you were mine.

the world needs more people like you.

i love you mom.
